i very nearly love new york in a blizzard.
it was a winterful way to wake up, fluffy white and warm in bed.
i went shoppping and the streets and stores were deserted, something unheardof in this city on the weekends and wonderful.
jon and i went down to the river to enjoy the snow and threw some very powdery snow handfulls at each other, then got cold and came home and make perfect banana bread and quiche.
and watched the undiscovered country.
i think most of all i liked the city today because it was quiet for once. traffic was minimal, no one was out screaming outside my window. either the snow acts as an incredible muffler, or people were actually inside doing normal inside people things and not out in throngs being strange and loud.
also, snow is pretty.
and now it's melting.
